What Is a Follower?
A follower is a congregant you choose or are assigned to track. When you follow someone, you receive email notifications as their engagement status changes. This allows you to stay connected and support them throughout their journey with your church.
Followers help ensure that no one falls through the cracks by keeping key people informed at the right time.
Who Should You Follow?
Here’s a question we often ask at some point during the onboarding process with Nurture:
Who are five people who, if you found out they left your church, you’d be devastated?
Answering that question can get the juices flowing on who you should follow, or who you should assign another staff/volunteer members to follow.
Who Can Add a Follower?
The following roles can add followers for themselves or for other users:
- Executives
- Administrators
- Staff Members
Additionally, assigning a volunteer role automatically creates a follower for that congregant.
