
Before You Begin
When adding or editing a user in Nurture:
- Make sure a pre-selected phone number from your integrated provider is assigned to the user.
- This number will be used when sending messages through the integration.
If no number is assigned, the integration sending option will not be available.
Sending a Text in Nurture
- Open the congregant’s profile.
- Click Text.
- Enter your subject (if applicable) and message.
Selecting a Sending Number
If you have multiple integrated numbers assigned:
- You will see an option below the message field to select which number to send from.
- Choose the correct number before sending.
Sending Options Explained
You will see two sending options:
✅ Send Now (Uses Phone Integration)
- Sends from your church’s integrated phone number.
- Messages are automatically logged in Nurture.
- Replies come directly into Nurture.
- All texts (sent and received) can be viewed in the Activity Feed under the Communication filter.
- Recommended for official church communication and pastoral follow-up.
📱 Send from Messaging App (Personal Number)
- Opens your computer’s default messaging app (e.g., iMessage).
- Sends from your personal phone number.
- Messages received will not log automatically in Nurture.
- To document a reply, you must use “Log a text you have received.”
This option is useful if you prefer to communicate from your personal device rather than the church-integrated number.
